REFLECTIONS
When I started taking CIS 110, I had expectations of learning more about using a computer and different programs. I came into the class not knowing very much. I took CTS 60, which was Essential Computer Usage, that gave me a little knowledge of some of the programs. I had a great teacher in that class that gave me a good basis to start my learning in CIS 110.
Ms. Noggle is a good teacher. I don't feel she should do anything differently in her teaching. She seems very knowledgeable about computers. The only thing that I can think of that would have helped me more is if I had taken this class on campus instead of online. Sometimes it can be difficult when running into a problem. It would have made it easier to be able to ask for help face to face. I am more of a visual learner.
I have found out, that in a lot of my classes, it is necessary to use Word and Excel. The knowledge of these 2 programs have helped a lot. I have learned how to navigate around both of those programs pretty good. However, I am struggling with the Access program. I plan to continue working on that until I am as comfortable with it as I am with Word and Excel.
Overall I feel I have had a good semester in CIS 110. I am much more confident with the computer now. My husband used to know a lot more than I did, now I am able to help him some. It feels good to learn new things. Computers play an important roll in almost every job. I feel sure that the knowledge that I have come away with will help tremendously in my future.
